Description

Come discover a military museum that stands out from the rest, a museum that has a whole new look for 2017 with new fully restored exhibition rooms. Enjoy unique and exceptional artifacts, including a 1942 motorcycle. The Lévis Armoury, still used by the Canadian Army and built in 1911, houses this museum dedicated to the memory of one of Canada's oldest military units. The Régiment de la Chaudière distinguished itself by its actions on the European front during the Second World War, being also the only French-Canadian unit to participate in the Normandy landings on June 6, 1944. Come and meet the history of local people, citizen-soldiers who have shaped our region from the French regime to the present day. Come and immerse yourself in original and often unpublished themes developed from local, regional, national and global perspectives. An unforgettable experience.
